What App’s Everyone Buzzing About at SXSW?

SXSW’s in full swing in Austin — and once again the app world is buzzing with excitement about the next big thing. In 2007, it was Twitter. In 2009, Foursquare. Now, it’s a live-streaming app called Meerkat. Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Al Roker and Jimmy Fallon are using it.

Jim has touched on the benefits of live streaming before. His main points: There is no tug of war between live and broadcast. Rather, obscurity is the enemy. Meerkat takes live streaming to the next level. Now, we’ll just have to watch and see how long the buzz lasts.
