Warren Buffett Says You May Need to Rethink Your Arts Marketing

Over on Inc.com, writer Ari Zoldan recently shared a piece of wisdom from Warren Buffett. While it certainly applies to all marketers, his example is particularly (and literally) relevant to those of us in the arts.

His advice:

“You can hold a rock concert and that’s OK. You can hold a ballet and that’s OK. But don’t hold a rock concert and advertise it as a ballet.”

It’s a good reminder that your marketing sets expectations for your event. Are you setting the right expectations?
