Tweet an Emoji, Get a Pizza & More Social Media Inspiration

Econsultancy posted a roundup of the 10 best social campaigns and stories from last month.
Here’s one for the pizza delivery history books: You’ll soon be able to order Domino’s by tweeting nothing but an emoji. Jim has written about the importance of mobile:
“People spend a lot of time on their mobile thingies. Most of that time is not spent ‘productively’ or in search of higher enlightenment. It’s idle time, break time, standing-in-line time. But these are moments that people are going to fill with something.”
And Domino’s wants to make sure that time is spent ordering pizza — and fast, in about five seconds.
According to the article, “Domino’s has become something closer to a tech company that sells pizza, it has amassed a team of about 250 technology employees at its Ann Arbor, MI headquarters vs. about 50 tech employees just a decade ago.”
