In his back-to-back posts about How to Give People More of What They Really Want, Part I and II, Jim shared the founding marketing insight of Goldstar: People want to go out more. And then he pointed out that if their behavior is different from their desire, there must be something (or some things) getting in the way. He calls them gates.

Gate 3 is getting somebody interested in an event. On exhibit now at The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum — in honor of the 50th anniversary of Star Trek — is the original Starship Enterprise from the classic 1960s TV series, which the museum restored, reports Slash Film.

Writer Ethan Anderton continues: “Now they’ve gone one step further in ensuring that all the most hardcore Trekkies can enjoy their museum in a new way. Mark Okrand is the man who developed the Vulcan and Klingon languages for the Star Trek universe, and the museum commissioned him to create an hour-long Klingon audio tour of some of their most popular exhibits.”

A Klingon audio tour of The Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum! Now that’s a reason to go out and a treat for Trekkies.
