Think Outside the Industry: Williams Sonoma Targets Younger Audience With Venmo

If you’re looking to attract a younger audience (that’s many of us), it’s a good idea to be familiar with what’s popular with that demographic. Like Venmo, for instance. It’s an app that lets you send money to friends and family.
According to PSFK, Williams Sonoma will soon accept Venmo as a form of payment for items on bridal registries: “Williams Sonoma hopes the new program will help the company appeal to a younger customer base that is accustomed to using the digital wallet service to pay back friends for expenses or easily split costs.”
This is a good reminder to think like our patrons — the ones we have and the ones we hope to gain.
