Think Outside the Industry: Design Your Own LaCroix Flavor

We shared how the sparkling water LaCroix has become the “it” drink for millennials and a status symbol for “cool” offices. Now, Wired reports that you can make up any LaCroix flavor you want. Chicago designers Nelson Cash have created a LaCroix flavor/meme-generator: MyLaCroix.com.

From Margaret Rhodes’ article: “I think a lot of people — and millennials my age — like LaCroix because it has that ‘90s jazz vibe,” says Mike McMillan, the designer at Nelson Cage who led the LaCroix project. “We thought, okay, we should design it like Windows 95. It’s an homage to the past.”

This is a fun way to engage your fans — by letting them offer their ideas and be creative — and make an extra connection with them.
