Fashion ads are often gorgeous, filled with beautiful people and merchandise, and maybe even a celebrity. So it’s only natural that we may be interested in the behind-the-scenes making-of those ads.
Calvin Klein capitalized on that curiosity this past weekend by “using its Periscope channel to give fans a live, behind-the-scenes look at the making of its Fall 2016 advertising campaign,” reports Fast Company.
The article continues: “Through Periscope, the Twitter-owned live-streaming platform, Calvin Klein will show viewers a mix of live footage from the campaign shoots, interviews, and ‘intimate moments’ with the campaign talent, all shot with a mix of GoPro cameras and iPhones, [Melisa] Goldie [Calvin Klein’s chief marketing officer] says.”
Live-streaming is a perfect fit for fashion, and live events, too.
