Miami City Ballet Makes “Huge” Debut in NYC

This month, Miami City Ballet made its debut at New York City’s David H. Koch Theater in Lincoln Center, which is “huge,” reports Ana Sofía Peláez for NBC News.

Goldstar members raved about this NYC performance in their reviews: “Fabulous, electrifying dancing!” wrote one member, and “I was blown away by the program with superb dancing, music, and astonishing production and choreography,” wrote another.

Since 2012, Miami City Ballet has been led by artistic director Lourdes Lopez, a former principal dancer for the New York City Ballet and one of the few women to hold the top position in a national ballet company.

The company is headed to Harris Theater for Music and Dance in Millennium Park in Chicago at the end of this month.

Find out more about Lopez and Miami City Ballet in a Q&A with her at NBC News.
