Mark Your Calendar for These Conferences
It’s only February, and your calendar is probably already filling up. Here are two conferences you should add to your schedule.
ArtsReach: The National Arts Marketing, Development & Ticketing Conference is coming to the Kimmel Center, NYU, in New York City on March 21-22. Pssst … They’ve extended their 3-for-1 deal until February 27.
If you go, be sure to catch Goldstar CEO Jim McCarthy moderating a panel on “The Life-Changing Power of Keeping It Real: How People Like Us Can (and Might Have to) Save the World.”
Read about it here:
In a world increasingly unreal, manipulated and detached, people in larger numbers are losing a basic grasp of reality. It’s everywhere and it’s getting worse, but we in the live entertainment and arts business have an important, perhaps critical, part to play in changing that. Let’s break the problem down and get to work.
Coming this fall in New York City is TEDxBroadway 2019. The event’s organizers will once again fill the stage with speakers to tackle the question, “What’s the Best Broadway Can Be?”
TEDxBroadway has featured a distinguished list of speakers over its seven-year history including: Jordan Roth, Diane Paulus, Shaina Taub, Daryl Roth, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, Lauren Ridloff, Robert Lopez, Terry Teachout and George Takei, to name just a few. The event has also sold out each year since it debuted in 2012.
Registration for the TEDxBroadway conference will begin at 1:15pm on September 24, 2019. Tickets are on sale now for $100.
