Four decades after becoming a worldwide sensation as TV’s Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter’s name is still synonymous with that iconic role — a role she loved playing. But it’s music that’s been her life’s greatest passion. “[Carter] can deliver a song even better than she can take down a bad guy,” raves the L.A. Times.

Carter began touring with a band as early as high school, and by her 20s was headlining Las Vegas. Then, she burst into the wider public eye in 1972 when she was crowned Miss World USA. Not long after, she was cast as Wonder Woman. During her five years on the popular show, she recorded her first album, Portrait. (Two songs from the album were used in an episode of Wonder Woman.)

Carter went on to host five Emmy-nominated TV variety specials, release three more albums (including the 2015 soundtrack to the video game Fallout 4), and to tour worldwide with her band, including engagements at the London Palladium, The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., Feinstein’s in New York and the Sporting Club of Monte Carlo.

Now, she’s on tour with her latest show, Lynda Carter: Long Legged Woman, with stops at New York’s Lincoln Center, L.A.’s Catalina Jazz Club and a return to The Kennedy Center. “People may come to my shows because they are curious about Wonder Woman, but I hope they return because they enjoy my singing,” said Lynda Carter in an interview with the UK’s Daily Express. Tickets for Carter’s tour are available on Goldstar here.

Lynda Carter is the sixth Coffee With Goldstar guest. Previous guests include: Star Trek’s George Takei (star of Broadway’s Allegiance), actor-pianist-playwright Hershey Felder, operatic pop quartet Il Divo, Scandal’s ‘First Lady’ Bellamy Young, and comedy magician Jeff Hobson. The future will bring many more live chats with Broadway cast members, musicians, comedians, dancers and more.

Again, to join the live video chat, just go to the Coffee With Goldstar on YouTube: at 3:00pm EST/Noon PST on Wednesday, March 16.
