Do you know what your results are?

Googling yourself isn’t just for vain teenagers, it’s an important way to make sure your business is being properly represented online. Case in point: Los Angeles’ Museum of Contemporary Art, which is dealing with incorrect Google results and the angry customers who read the false information.

The Los Angeles Times reported on the issue and found the automatically generated Google results were giving incorrect hours for the museum (stating it’s open seven days a week when it’s not for starters), and patrons who follow it wind up visiting on days it’s closed or unaware of later hours. It’s a problem MOCA is working with Google to fix, but it serves as a great reminder for all of us to make sure our customers are getting the correct information when they look for us online.
