Goldstar Turns 10 in Chicago

Goldstar is celebrating its 10th anniversary in the Windy City. In his recent Chicago Business Journal feature, reporter Lewis Lazare writes, “Goldstar has developed a commanding presence in Chicago.”

Launched in in 2005, Chicago was the first market outside the western states for Goldstar. From working with 78 local venues and just over 8,000 registered users, we now have relationships with more than 1,000 member venues and performing arts organizations and more than 500,000 registered customers.

Some of those venues and organizations include Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Goodman Theatre, Steppenwolf, the Ravinia Festival, Chicago Shakespeare Theatre and the Joffrey Ballet.

Lazare also points out, “Interestingly though, a whopping 84 percent of Goldstar users in Chicago say they do not come to the service with a specific event in mind. Instead most are just looking for something fun to do in the Windy City.”

He adds that Goldstar plans to add another 20 markets to the list.

Happy anniversary!
