Bobblehead or Sweater, Just Immortalize It
Drake’s dance moves in his “Hotline Bling” video are so epic, they’ve been captured on a sweater (see images below), reports this Entertainment Weekly post.
It’s a clever promotional idea, and it reminds us of Jim’s post about breakthrough ideas, specifically the Newsies bobblehead, which is a promotional item widely used in sports but was a first for Broadway. Jim wrote:
“People doing work that’s very different from yours may think in ways that are very different from you. … That’s why I strongly advocate for crossing lines more frequently between genres of live entertainment marketing. If you’re in sports marketing or theater marketing or music marketing, you’re all in very similar roles with a ton to learn from each other.”
